Kim Kardashian has launched Face Wrap

skims FACE WRAP

Kim Kardashian has once again entered the beauty chat — and this time, she’s wrapping it up, quite literally. With the launch of the Skims Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap, priced at $48 (Indian rupee- 4,600), the mogul is promising overnight facial sculpting using a fabric that looks suspiciously like post-surgery gear. But what does this really say about today’s beauty standards? And more importantly will it even work?

What Is the Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap?

Unveiled this week, the Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap is the latest addition to Kim’s shapewear empire, Skims. The product is designed to lift and hold the cheeks, chin, and neck firmly in place while you sleep  all in hopes of creating a more “snatched” appearance by morning.

Made with the brand’s “signature sculpting fabric” and something called “collagen yarn,” the wrap is essentially a stretchy compression band with chin support and Velcro closures — similar in look and function to the facial compression wraps used after cosmetic surgery.

The Aesthetic vs. the Medical

Dr. Jonathan Sykes, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, notes that Kim’s face wrap closely resembles medical-grade recovery gear used after surgery. While those garments aid healing and reduce swelling, Skims’ version targets everyday users. But can it actually sculpt your face? So far, there’s no clinical proof that such wraps deliver lasting results without cosmetic procedures.

What Exactly Is Collagen Yarn?

One of the most eye-catching claims is the use of collagen yarn in the fabric. While “collagen” is a buzzword in beauty known for its role in maintaining skin elasticity and youthfulness the inclusion of it in a textile form is questionable. There is very little publicly available science to suggest that collagen-infused fabrics can actually penetrate the skin and deliver any anti-aging benefits.

A Shift After SKKN: The New Beauty Playbook?

Kim’s launch of the Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap marks her return to beauty after shutting down SKKN by Kim. Instead of skincare products, she’s now tapping into the booming at-home beauty device market. With tools like facial rollers and LED masks on the rise, this wrap is her latest move to meet the demand now under the Skims brand.

Is It a Hit or Just Hype?

Despite mixed opinions, the product has already generated massive buzz online and is now only available through a waitlist. Influencers are testing it, memes are circulating, and debates over beauty standards are back in full swing.

But whether the wrap actually works or if it’s just another stylish gimmick remains to be seen.
